Through an official release issued in Ilorin by the Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Jumoke Jimoh. Addressing the pilgrims shortly before departure, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, urged them to conduct themselves responsibly throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia. He indicated, “You are going to the Holy Land for a sacred obligation, and you must conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the people of Kwara State and Nigeria.
“You should remain law-abiding, disciplined, and focused on the spiritual purpose of the pilgrimage. ” He cautioned the pilgrims against actions capable of tarnishing the image of the state and the country while abroad. “Avoid any act that can bring disrepute to yourselves, your families, Kwara State, or Nigeria as a whole,” he warned. The Executive Secretary also stressed the importance of unity, patience, and mutual understanding among the pilgrims during the exercise.
“You must learn to coexist peacefully with one another and show patience and tolerance throughout the Hajj period. “Respect constituted authorities and adhere strictly to all rules and regulations guiding the Hajj operations,”. Abdulkadir further prayed for a smooth and successful pilgrimage for all the intending pilgrims from the state. “We pray to Almighty Allah to grant you a successful Hajj exercise and bring you back home safely,” he indicated.
