Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, to order the arrest and prosecution of Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, over an alleged threat to kill members of the Accord Party. A video circulating on social media purportedly showed Fadahunsi addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) protesting alleged killings of party members in Ilesa.

In the video, the senator was allegedly heard urging APC supporters to attack members of the Accord Party wherever they were found. However, while addressing journalists at the Government House Banquet Hall in Osogbo on Tuesday, Adeleke raised concerns over what he described as security operations targeting Accord Party leaders and supporters ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

The governor alleged that the viral video showed Fadahunsi calling for the killing of Accord Party leaders, supporters and their family members. The senator allegedly said that where Accord Party leaders could not be found, their wives and children should be targeted.
