FRSC Dismisses 43 Officers Over Indiscipline
The Federal Road Safety Corps has dismissed 43 personnel over offences bordering on desertion, scandalous conduct, and patrol-related misconduct.

In a statement issued by the Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, the Corps said 31 officers were dismissed for desertion, five for scandalous behaviour, while seven were disengaged over patrol misconduct.

The Corps described the action as part of its firm commitment to discipline and professionalism, noting that the FRSC badge represents honour and responsibility.

Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, said the decision reinforces the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline and ethical violations. stressing that desertion is a serious breach of service oath, especially in a safety-critical organisation entrusted with protecting road users nationwide.

He added that scandalous conduct and patrol misconduct undermine public trust and contradict the Corps’ core values of discipline, transparency, and service excellence.

The FRSC maintained that it will continue to uphold strict operational standards and take decisive action against any personnel found wanting.
