Tyson Fury will face Anthony Joshua in a long-awaited all-British heavyweight clash at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 11. The date and venue were confirmed by Saudi boxing powerbroker Turki Alalshikh after months of negotiations over where the fight would be staged.

Both former world heavyweight champions had already signed contracts for the bout, but Cardiff was selected after earlier discussions involving Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden in New York. The contest is expected to be broadcast on Netflix, with a promotional press conference scheduled for September 30 in London.

Fury enters the fight after defeating Mariusz Wach in July, while Joshua’s most recent outing ended in victory over Kristian Prenga. The meeting ends years of failed negotiations and will mark the first professional bout between two of Britain’s most prominent heavyweight fighters.
