Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has handed first senior call-ups to George Ilenikhena, Isaac James and Moses Usor for Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Nigeria will host Madagascar on September 25 before travelling to Guinea-Bissau four days later.

Ilenikhena, a 20-year-old forward born in Lagos, has impressed for Al-Ittihad after previously featuring for Monaco and Royal Antwerp. The former France youth international has scored six goals and provided two assists in nine matches this season, while 22-year-old left-back Isaac James has earned recognition for his performances with Portuguese club Alverca.

Moses Usor, 24, joins the squad after a successful 2025/26 campaign with Austrian side LASK, where he helped the club win the league and cup double. The trio will be hoping to make their Super Eagles debuts as Nigeria begin their Group L qualifying campaign.
