• Obanikoro urged party members to put the divisions that accompanied the party’s primary elections behind them and support the APC’s candidates in the elections.He spoke on Wednesday at an interfaith prayer organised by the party in Lagos to mark the commencement of electioneering activities.The Independent National Electoral Commission had fixed September 9, 2026, for the commencement of campaigns for the 2027 general elections.
• Obanikoro said members might have supported different aspirants during the primary elections, but the conclusion of the exercise had made it necessary for them to unite behind the party’s candidates.
