The Independent National Electoral Commission has reproduced ballot papers for the Osun State governorship election to accommodate the candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Dr Olugbenga Ajala, three days to the poll. This is as the commission is set to distribute sensitive materials for Saturday’s governorship poll to the 30 local government areas in the state today (Thursday).

The distribution is expected to be held on the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria in Osogbo, the state capital.

The state INEC spokesperson, Musa Olurode, in a telephone interview with, said, “Sensitive materials will be distributed tomorrow, and journalists will be informed of the time the exercise will commence. ” Earlier, in a statement on Wednesday, signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Haruna, the commission said Ajala and his running mate, Faseke Oladipo, had been added to the ballot following a judgment of the Federal High Court, Abuja, delivered on July 22, 2026.
