The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the growing dispute between Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and APC governors over the Rainbow Coalition. PCC spokesman Ima Niboro described the disagreement as an internal political dispute that should be resolved before it affects preparations for the 2027 elections.

The governors, led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, have said they will not support any alliance they believe could weaken APC candidates, while Wike maintains that his cross-party arrangement is focused on supporting Tinubu’s re-election and does not require him to abandon his political party.

Niboro said both sides share the goal of supporting Tinubu and called for an end to public exchanges. APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe also urged Wike to engage the governors directly and explain the objectives of the Rainbow Coalition.
