Two media aides of Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, have resigned their appointments from the state government.
The duo — Pastor Taiwo Gbamila, Senior Special Assistant on Multimedia, and Mr. Olugbenga Abire, Special Assistant on New Media — tendered their resignations on Sunday and Monday, respectively.
Gbamila, in a letter addressed to the governor and the Secretary to the State Government, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, stating simply:
"Your Excellency, thank you for the opportunity to serve. I hereby respectfully tender my resignation of my appointment."
Abire, meanwhile, shared on Sunday that he had decided to quit as Special Assistant on New Media, adding, “I am emotional to tell us that I have decided to quit… I will miss all of us but I am still a click away.” He confirmed on Facebook that his resignation had been communicated to the governor, who approved the move.
Both aides did not provide reasons for their resignation.
