聽Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has commissioned a youth development centre in Uruan Local Government Area as part of his administration鈥檚 wider youth empowerment programme. The facility is designed to help young people acquire practical skills, build businesses and improve their prospects for self-reliance.
Eno, who was represented at the event by South-South Development Commission Managing Director Princess Usoro Akpabio, said the centre should serve as a productive hub where young people can develop ideas, enterprises and creative skills. The state government says similar youth-friendly centres are planned across all 31 local government areas.
The Uruan commissioning formed part of activities marking Akwa Ibom State鈥檚 39th anniversary. The government says its broader youth-development strategy also includes training through IBOM-LED and DASAC, entrepreneurship support and grants for young people.
