Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has signed a new contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2034, extending his previous deal by one year.

The Premier League club announced the agreement on Saturday, October 10, 2026, confirming improved terms for the 24-year-old England international.

Palmer said he was pleased to commit his future to Chelsea, citing the confidence shown in him by the club’s owners, sporting directors, manager and teammates.

“Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction,” he said, adding that he wanted to play a major role in the team’s pursuit of more trophies.

Since joining Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer has recorded 91 combined goals and assists in 138 appearances across all competitions. He has also helped the club win the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League.

Palmer enjoyed a remarkable debut season in 2023/24, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists. He has continued to contribute in subsequent campaigns and began the current season with four goals in seven appearances.

The new agreement follows Chelsea’s efforts to secure the long-term futures of key players, including João Pedro and Pedro Neto.

Palmer’s contract extension comes amid renewed discussion about his international availability after a recurring groin problem forced him to withdraw from England duty. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has defended the player’s commitment, stressing the importance of ensuring he is fully fit for club and country.
