Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has recounted how his wife, Sadiat Adenike, treated some actresses he dated during their marriage, saying she continued to welcome and care for them despite knowing about the relationships.

Quadri made the disclosure in an interview featured on the African A-List platform, explaining that some female colleagues occasionally visited or spent the night at his home when film production ended late.

According to the actor, his wife would prepare food for the women and ensure they had what they needed, even when she knew he was romantically involved with them.

The Yoruba film star, popularly known as Masomo, also said some actresses who were dating him became friendly with his wife. He recalled that some of the women would approach Adenike to discuss his relationships with other actresses, despite being romantically involved with him themselves.

Quadri said his wife was already aware of many of the relationships and did not confront the women when they visited.

The actor credited his wife’s patience and understanding as important to the longevity of their marriage. The couple reportedly met in 1985 and married in 1989.

Quadri did not identify the actresses he referred to during the interview. His comments have drawn attention to the personal sacrifices and complexities that can accompany relationships in the entertainment industry.
