Senate rejects fresh calls to amend Electoral Act amid opposition pushback
The National Assembly’s Senate has dismissed renewed demands by opposition leaders — including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi — to immediately revisit the recently signed Electoral Act 2026, saying grievances should be raised through proper legislative channels and not outside Parliament.
