Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced plans to host a free music concert in Osogbo, the state capital, featuring popular Nigerian artists including his son, B-Red.
The event, scheduled for Friday, April 24, will take place at the Technical Field in Osogbo and is open to the public at no cost. According to the governor, the concert will showcase a mix of established stars and emerging talents from within and beyond the state.
Other performers expected at the show include Peruzzi, CDQ, May D, Shina Peters, Sinarambo, Peller, and Kolu Wahala, among others.
Adeleke described the concert as an inclusive gathering aimed at uniting residents regardless of political affiliation. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to encourage civic participation while also celebrating Osun’s vibrant entertainment culture.
The announcement comes amid heightened political activity ahead of the August 2026 governorship election. Recently, Afrobeats star Davido was appointed to a key youth mobilisation role in the governor’s re-election campaign, further signaling increased engagement with young voters.
Residents have been encouraged to attend the concert, enjoy the performances, and actively participate in the democratic process.
