Danjani, the party’s immediate past state deputy chairman and candidate for the Hadejia/Auyo/Kafin-Hausa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, made the remarks in a Hausa-language post on his Facebook account.
He argued that a PDP defeat would affect not only the party’s candidates but also the wider population of Jigawa State. He urged voters to consider what he described as the experience, qualifications and political pedigree of the party’s candidates.
Danjani also praised former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido, describing him as a committed public servant whose administration had raised the state’s profile. He argued that Lamido’s record offered a standard against which subsequent administrations should be assessed.
The PDP chieftain highlighted the backgrounds of several party figures, including its governorship candidate, deputy governorship candidate and senatorial candidate for Jigawa South-West, Sulaiman Abba, a former Inspector-General of Police.
Danjani maintained that the party had experienced political and legislative figures capable of providing leadership. He called on voters to consider their records and qualifications ahead of the 2027 polls.
His remarks come as political parties intensify preparations and efforts to win support ahead of the next general elections.
