The Federal Government has invited qualified Nigerians to apply for its 2026/2027 foreign scholarship programme, aimed at supporting students to study in selected countries overseas.

The scholarship, administered through the Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Scholarship Board, is part of Nigeria’s Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) and other international scholarship arrangements.

Under the programme, successful candidates will have the opportunity to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in partner countries including Russia, China, Hungary, Morocco, Egypt, and others.

Officials noted that the initiative is designed to promote academic excellence, international exposure, and knowledge exchange, while also strengthening diplomatic and educational ties between Nigeria and participating countries.

Interested applicants are expected to meet specific academic requirements and complete their applications through the official portal of the Federal Ministry of Education.

The government advised candidates to carefully follow the application guidelines and ensure that all required documents are properly submitted within the stipulated deadline.

Education stakeholders say the programme remains one of Nigeria’s key avenues for developing human capital, particularly in critical fields such as science, technology, medicine, and engineering.
