Several gospel music organisers have cancelled or postponed scheduled programmes in honour of late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, who died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The decisions were announced as musicians, entertainers and members of the Christian community continued to mourn the singer.

Gospel artiste Kaywonder postponed the seventh edition of his Invasion Praise Concert, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 18. He said the death had deeply affected the gospel community and that the period should instead be devoted to mourning, reflection and prayer. A new date for the concert will be announced later.

Pure Gospel Music Generals Akure also cancelled its 10th anniversary celebration, which had been scheduled for Friday, October 16. The organisation described Toluwanisings as a beloved brother and committed member, saying the cancellation would allow members and supporters time to grieve and reflect on his life.
AY Grace Music Ministry similarly postponed this month’s edition of its All Sufficient Monthly Praise programme. The ministry said the decision was taken because of the loss of Toluwanisings and promised to communicate a new date while extending condolences to his family and loved ones.

Toluwanisings was known for energetic Yoruba-influenced gospel praise songs, including “A Very Big God” and “Kabiyesi Olorun Ayo.” His family confirmed that he died in the early hours of October 14, but funeral arrangements had not yet been announced at the time of reporting.
