• Although the cause of the disagreement between the 65-year-old father and son, which reportedly escalated into a physical assault, was not disclosed, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said in a statement on Thursday that the suspect had been arrested and detained.The statement read, “The Ondo State Police Command under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, has arrested a 38-year-old man, identified as Nsikak Kingsley, for his alleged involvement in the death of his biological father, Adone Peter, aged 65 years.
• “The tragic incident occurred in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, and has generated widespread concern among residents of the area.“Preliminary investigation revealed that on 28th May, 2026, the suspect allegedly engaged his father in a violent altercation which escalated into a physical assault.
